Meet Jas Sehmbi, Minnessak’s Creative Director and Head of Design. His journey mirrors the spirit of our bags – shaped by many places, cultures, and ideas.
Born in Nairobi, raised in India and London, Jas’s love of design began early and never let go. By the tender age of 20, he was already making and selling his own bags.
That passion has taken him around the world building a career that has seen his designs stocked in hundreds of stores across 35 countries and showcased in London, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Time spent living in Italy and regular trips to Japan further deepened his cultural and creative lens.
A long-time advocate for sustainable fashion, Jas has always believed that style should be both functional and responsible. His perspective is sought globally – he’s lectured at leading fashion institutions in London and Tokyo.
