S/S 24 COLLECTION
OUR S/S 2024 RANGE USES A MIX OF MATERIALS; SOME RECYCLED, SOME UPCYCLED, SOME RECLAIMED & SOME ‘DEAD STOCK’.
The main material? Repurposed MA1 jackets. Highly popular among the music scene in the ‘90’s, our Head of Design, Jas has a personal history with these jackets having designed, made and supplied many a famous band, label and club with them, from Acid Jazz to Ministry of Sound.
Upcycled materials include bicycle tyre inner tubes. Normally discarded rather than repaired these days, Jas approached the local branch of Evans Cycles, the UK’s largest cycle shop chain, agreeing to take their trashed tubes, then experimenting with ways to reuse the material.
As you can see from the results, his ingenuity proves the old adage of one man’s waste is another man’s treasure.
Knowing all of these materials inside out, Jas realised he could produce a range of beautifully lightweight, strong and durable bags. He is drawn to natural and organic forms that are timeless, imagining how these shapes can then be used to create the collection.
The finest Swiss Riri zips have also been used throughout the collection, taken from dead stock, and add a further touch of quality to the craftsmanship.
These are bags crafted with a unique combination of military precision, planet-friendly mindfulness and creativity.
